Writing Life
I have been writing since I was 12 years old. I started to take it seriously and saving them when I was fifteen and have been writing ever since. My writings have been published in several magazines and books and I have independantly released several books of my writings. You can read some of them HERE.
Music Life
Besides playing music and doing live sound, I have been involved in several music and arts organizations to promote and share music around Michigan's Thumb and in the state.
The Bluewater Folk Society is a non-profit organization “Promoting Traditional & Acoustic Music in the Thumb of Michigan”. I was a founding member, board member and past president. In addition, I was a founding member of “Thumbfest”, a music festival in Lexington, Michigan and past director of the festival.
The Wheatland Music Organization is a non-profit organization founded in 1974 and started one of the first acoustic music festivals in Michigan; "Wheatland Music Festival", the grand daddy of them all. I have been going to it since 1982 and have only missed two years since. I have volunteered many years, been a member, volunteer, major supporter and have done sound there for over 10 years.
Sanilac Consortium for the Arts supports the development of skills and talents in the performing and fine arts and helps provide opportunities to display those talents in Sanilac County. We are a tax exempt 501(c)(3) nonprofit corporation headquartered in Port Sanilac since 1987.
Personal Life
I have two beautiful girls, each very unique. I am very proud of how both of them have grown up and become lovely young ladies and people. I am married to a wonderful woman who is my partner in everything that I do.
Work Life
I have been doing Building Automation Controls for Energy Management for over 30 years. This includes designing, programming, installing and maintaining systems for small to large commercial and industrial buildings.
I am currently in charge of controls and energy management at Selfridge Air National Guard Base in Michigan. This base contains over 200 unique buildings with a total of over 2 million square feet.

Purple Martin House Restoration - This page shows the beginning through the end of the restoration of a 16 room Purple Martin House originally built in 1970 by my Wife's Great-Grandfather.
